so...

...break na kami ni ruben.

long story short, we've drifted apart and there's really no point in holding on. it was (at least the way i see it), a very mature discussion with no tears, accusations or shouting. we had a good 6 years together but i think we both knew it was coming. he said he was sad, but not angry. i'm also sad, but i think that was the right thing to do and that things will be better.

Alt-rock, I guess.

So I went to Ruben's Alumni Homecoming...

... and I met his high school classmates! I know some of them because of the Mafiagang, so it wasn't that awkward. Most of the people sitting on the Batch '98 tables were new faces to me though.

... and I got disappointed with the Japanese bento we got for dinner. The beef teriyaki was okay, but the veggies were blah. Maybe we should have tried the pasta stuff instead XD

... and I saw a lot of old people dancing! The older batches ('83 and '88 if I remember correctly) had dance medleys for their program participation. Ruben's batch was cooler though, because they got around to organizing a band to play a few 90s songs.

... and I spent a lot of time standing and walking about the gym with Ruben partly because he didn't remember the names of some of his batchmates. Which just proves how anti-social he was in high school. XD

... and I got bored enough to start swinging to "Build Me Up Buttercup" with Chester. And then jumping up and down while the band played "Dyslexic Heart" and "I Just Can't Get Enough" XD I must have looked like a weirdo but oh wells XD

Why yes, I've been ignoring my blog(s): Another entry in the form of a list

1) Ruben and I celebrated our 6th year (!!!) anniversary last week. Since I had work on the 26th, we decided to just have lunch at Italianni's then hang out till I had to go to the office. That was a good day <3

2) Ever felt physically ill because someone was pissy at you? Gah, bad experience.

3) Work drains my brain, but I love my new office. Especially when your boss treats the office for midnight pizza for no big reason XD

4) I'm craving for a large Mocha Mudslide from Coffee Bean.

5) Almost done with the laptop payment! Hurray! My bank account can stop hating me soon!

6) Remember me whining about wanting a new look? Gabby suggested curls. I'm considering it. Whatcha think?

3) friends are lovely, especially when they call you from another country to greet you a happy birthday. thanks for the greets, kiddos!
3.5) special mention: friends from high school! thanks for remembering

4) i seriously need coffee and decent conversation now.

5) i sorta want a nintendo ds, but really, hiyas, you oughta save! *nags self*

I forgive Nickelodeon for the long wait, but in one condition...

MORE AVATAR, PLEEEEASE??

Just finished the last episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Won't spoil you (Ruben will never forgive me if I say anything specific) but OMG. I can't coherently say just how awesome that was. Basta, ang galing! The backgrounds! The animation! I love the battle scenes! And Toph! And Zuko! And Aang! OMG! I loved everything! I must watch it again!

I can't believe it's done. And I can't believe I stayed up until 4am waiting for the bittorrent to get downloaded and then staying up to watch it. =_= I'm so gonna fall asleep while I'm at work later

pissed off right now

survived my first week of work, officemates were nice. pissed off because of that freelance thing with kyameel that been taking forever to finish. stupid client takes forever to respond and then passes us to someone who didn't even know that there's a web project going on until i went to their office and asked the guy for approval on the last revision our client told us to do. not even more annoyed with the world because i'm supposed to be out, enjoying my weekend but i can't leave the house! landlord installed a new lock on the gate and nobody gave me my own copy of the damn key. if i leave the house, i'll get locked out later. so there goes my saturday >_<

i'm taking the job, people. wish me luck! at least the night owl in me won't have to adjust that much. now the hard part is telling my paranoid mom when she comes back from her trip that her unica hija will be coming home after midnight everyday for work.

ruben said he's gonna be supplying me with pepper spray again *sigh*
